(a) No person shall keep, maintain or have in his possession or under his control within the City any poisonous reptile or any other dangerous or carnivorous wild animal or reptile and vicious or dangerous domesticated animal, or any other animal or reptile of wild, vicious or dangerous propensities. Excluded specifically from the foregoing prohibition are circuses or other similar professional wild animal shows or exhibitions appearing within the City for a limited period of time only.
