A. Running At Large: It shall be unlawful to permit any dangerous animal or vicious animal of any kind to run at large within the Village. (1987 Code § 9-4-7)
B. Permit For Exhibitions And Parades: Exhibitions or parades of animals which are ferae naturae in the eyes of the law may be conducted only upon securing a permit from the Police Committee Chairperson.
C. Authority To Kill: The members of the Village Board or the Police Committee Chairperson is authorized to kill any dangerous animal of any kind when it is necessary for the protection of any persons or property. (1987 Code § 9-4-7; amd. 2018 Code)
D. Animals That Bite: Any animal which has bitten any person or so injured any person as to have caused an abrasion of the skin, or is suffering from rabies, shall be subject to the procedures applicable to dogs under article A of this chapter. (1987 Code § 9-4-7)
