6-1-5: DUTIES OF DEPARTMENT EMPLOYEES:
   A.   It shall be the duty of the employees of the department to see to the enforcement of all of the ordinances of the Village and all statutes applicable therein, and to preserve order and prevent infractions of the law and arrest violators thereof and to perform such other duties as the President and Board of Trustees shall prescribe for the preservation of the peace and the observance of the ordinances and laws.
   B.   It shall be the duty and obligation of employees of the department to follow all rules and regulations set forth by the Chief, President and Board of Trustees as shall be deemed advisable for the operation of the department.
   C.   It shall be the duty and obligation of every employee of the department to conduct himself or herself in a proper and law abiding manner, at all times, to obey the directions of his or her supervisor and to avoid the use of any unnecessary force. (Ord., 5-4-1996)
