Before entering into any orders, sales or contracts, said peddler or solicitor shall secure a permit from the Police Committee Chairperson and/or Village Clerk certifying that there has been compliance with the provisions of this chapter as set forth herein and fulfilled. Said permit shall then be deposited with the Village Clerk and a license issued upon the payment of a fee of twenty five dollars ($25.00), which license shall be valid for a period of one month.
