For the issuance of each building permit and for other miscellaneous subjects, all fees shall be paid by the applicant to the Kankakee County Planning Department. Unless specified elsewhere in the Village Code, all fees will be in accordance with the fee schedule established by Kankakee County as amended which is hereby incorporated into this chapter by reference.
A. Inspections:
1. All reinspection fees will be paid for by the property owner.
2. All open trenches for water and sewer must be inspected by the code enforcement officer or designated plumbing inspector.
3. In new construction a backflow preventer device must be installed and inspected according to the Illinois Plumbing Code.
4. Repaired water lines must be inspected by the code enforcement officer or designated plumbing inspector.
B. Where work for which a permit is required under this chapter is started or proceeded with prior to obtaining a permit, the fees herein set forth shall be increased one hundred percent (100%). (Ord. 12-9, 3-5-2012; amd. 2018 Code; Ord., 9-5-2023)
