A. Any person convicted of a violation of any section or provision of this Code, where no other penalty is set forth, shall be assessed a fine of one hundred dollars ($100.00) per day per violation to a maximum of five hundred dollars ($500.00) per day. The fine(s) shall be assessed on a daily basis until such time as the violation(s) has been corrected. The Village shall be entitled to collect any fees that are incurred in the prosecution of any violations of this Code. This may include placing a lien on property, foreclosure of any lien the Village may have thereon and any legal fees and costs. (Ord. 17-5, 8-8-2017)
B. The provisions of subsection A of this section notwithstanding, no penalty shall be greater than that established by State Statute for the same offense. (2018 Code)
