543.06  NOTICE/IMMEDIATE THREAT; ABATEMENT OF NUISANCE.
   In the event a public nuisance is such that it poses an immediate threat to life or property, the Mayor, or if the Mayor cannot be reached, the President of Council, may take immediate action to abate the nuisance. The Mayor shall give whatever notice is practicable under the circumstances to the owner and/or the occupants of the premises by any reasonable means, including the telephone. The cost of any such abatement, completed by the City, may be covered as provided in this chapter under Section 543.09.
