Subject to the approval of a majority vote of Council, the Mayor shall appoint the Director of Traffic Control. He shall serve at the pleasure of the Mayor and Council and may be removed by the Mayor subject to approval by Council by a majority vote of its members. He may also serve as the head of a department of the City. The Director of Traffic Control shall perform such duties and functions as directed by the Mayor of the City and as are provided by ordinance or resolution. The office of the Director of Traffic Control shall be contained in and made part of the City Engineer’s Office.
