1105.04 CLASSIFICATION OF ANNEXED LAND.
Upon annexation of township territory to the City of Bryan, the township zoning regulations then in effect shall remain in full force and shall be enforced by the township officials until the Bryan City Council adopts zoning regulations for the property. As an alternative to the procedures set forth in Chapter 1121, Council may, after a report and recommendation by the Bryan City Planning Commission, by ordinance made at or prior to the time of its acceptance of township territory for annexation, classify all or any part of territory annexed to the City in such other district or districts as Council may determine. Such ordinance shall be passed by majority vote of all members of Council, except when the classification of districts by Council is contrary to the report and recommendation of the Planning Commission, in which event the same shall not become effective except by the favorable vote of four-fifths of all members of Council. Such ordinance shall not be passed as an emergency measure.
