(a) Standard Sidewalk. All sidewalks on the City's public right-of-way shall have a minimum width of not less than four feet. Where the existing width of sidewalks is greater than four feet, all newly constructed sidewalks must be of the same width as the existing sidewalks.
(b) Construction Materials. No materials other than Portland Cement Concrete shall be used for construction or repair of sidewalks unless approved by the City Engineer. If sidewalks are repaired, the cement must contain an additional compound to bond with the existing concrete.
(c) Slabs.
(1) A slab is each rectangular or square block in a sidewalk.
(2) Any newly constructed slabs of sidewalks shall be equally sized rectangular or square blocks at approximately five feet in length and four feet in width subject to subsection (a) hereof.
