432.44 MOTOR DRIVEN VEHICLES ON PUBLIC LANDS.
   (a)   "All purpose vehicle" means any self-propelled vehicle designed primarily for cross country travel on land and/or water, or on more than one type of terrain, and steered by wheels or caterpillar treads, or any combination thereof, including vehicles that operate on a cushion of air, vehicles commonly known as all-terrain vehicles, all season vehicles, mini-bikes and trail bikes, but excluding any selfpropelled vehicle not principally used for purposes of personal transportation, any motor vehicle or aircraft required to be registered under Ohio R.C. Chapter 4503 or Chapter 4561, and any vehicle excepted from definition as a motor vehicle by Section 402.21 of the Traffic Code.

   (b)   "Snowmobile" means any selfpropelled vehicle designed primarily for use on snow or ice, and steered by skis, runners or caterpillar treads.

   (c)   "Motorcycle" means every motor vehicle, other than a bicycle as provided in Section 402.05(a) or a tractor having a saddle for the use of the operator and designed to travel on not more than three wheels in contact with the ground. "Motorcycle" shall include, but not be limited to, motor vehicles known as "motor-driven cycle", "mini bike", "motor scooter", "trail bike", "dirt bike", or "motorcycle" without regard to weight or brake horsepower.

   (d)   "Owner" means any person, firm or corporation, other than a lienholder or dealer, having title to a snowmobile, off-highway motorcycle, or all-purpose vehicle, or other right to the possession thereof.

   (e)   "Off-highway motorcycle" means every motorcycle, as defined in Ohio R.C. 4511.01, that is designed to be operated primarily on lands other than a street or highway.

   (f)   "Operator" means any person who operates or is in actual physical control of a snowmobile, off-highway motorcycle or all-purpose vehicle.
   (g)   When or wherever parking facilities are provided on public property and/or signs erected setting forth, "NO MOTOR DRIVEN VEHICLES BEYOND THIS POINT", no owner or operator of any vehicle included in subsections (a) through (c) hereof shall operate such vehicle beyond this point for any purpose, excepting therefrom, properly authorized maintenance vehicles.
   (h)   Where no roadway is provided for automobiles allowing ingress and egress to public property, no owner or operator of any vehicle included in subsections (a) through (c) hereof shall operate such vehicle on the public property, excepting therefrom, properly authorized maintenance vehicles.
