258.10 COURT APPEARANCES.
   (a)   Full-time Employees. All full-time City employees who are called upon as jurors in any court in the County or in any Federal Court shall be paid the difference in salary between court compensation and City compensation.
   Police Officers, full-time fire fighters or employees who are called upon as witnesses in job related cases, shall be compensated for their time at their regular rate of pay.

   (b)   Part-time Employees.
      (1)   Henceforth, the following part-time employees required to bear witness, give testimony or subpoenaed to appear in a court of justice for the City shall be paid as follows for all hours of work missed at their regular place of employment up to a maximum of eight hours per day;
         A.   City Hall Employees. Regular hourly rate of pay.
         B.   Auxiliary Police Officers. Starting hourly rate of a regular Police Officer.
         C.   Volunteer Firemen. Current hourly duty call rate for each respective position in the Division of Fire.

      (2)   The Finance Director is hereby authorized to issue this payment upon receipt of the proper voucher signed by the proper department head or the City Manager.
      (3)   The proper department head or the City Manager shall give particulars of the auxiliary police officer, volunteer fireman or part-time employee's court appearance as witness for the City.
