258.07 HOLIDAYS.
   (a)   "Uniformed employees" includes such full-time employees as: the Chief of Police, Lieutenant, the Sergeant of Police, Police Officers, Dispatchers and Police Clerks.

   (b)   All holidays shall be subject to contracts between the City and the representative groups. City Manager, directors of departments, division heads and Council Clerk's holidays shall coincide with the holidays listed in the City Hall Employees Bargaining Unit Contract.
 
   (c)   All full-time employees, the City Manager or any other salaried management employee shall be paid, except where contract terms differ, eight hours pay at straight time for legally declared holidays.
      (1)   Full-time employees, with the exception of directors of departments, division heads and City Manager, who work on the cited holidays shall be compensated, except where contract differs, by being paid the holiday pay plus time and one-half. The holiday pay will be issued if the employee works the scheduled full day preceding and the next scheduled full day after such holiday, unless excused because of illness, substantiated by a certificate signed by a doctor.
      (2)   If any of the holidays fall on a Sunday, the following Monday will be considered the holiday. If a holiday falls on a Saturday, the preceding Friday will be considered the holiday.
 
   (d)    Council shall declare a holiday with pay for all full-time employees of the City whenever the President of the United States has proclaimed or declared a special national holiday for mourning or celebration of unusual events.
