(a) There is hereby established the position of Electrical, Heating and Air Conditioning Inspector.
(b) The minimum requirements of training and experience are:
(1) Applicant must be certified as an Electrical Safety Inspector by the State Board of Building Standards, Ohio R.C. Chapter 3783, and
(2) Applicant must have two years experience as a tradesman in the field of heating, ventilation and air conditioning, or two years experience as an inspector of heating, ventilation and air conditioning, or completion of a two year course of work in an engineering or architecture related field, dealing with heating, ventilation and air conditioning and four years experience in building construction - foreman level or above, and one or more of the following:
A. Four years as a licensed building contractor, or
B. Four years experience assisting a building inspector, or
C. Six years experience in building construction - foreman level or above.

(c) The Electrical, Heating and Air Conditioning Inspectors shall report to the Community and Economic Development Director. The Chief Building Official or designee shall appoint the Electrical, Heating and Air Conditioning Inspectors.

(d) The Electrical, Heating and Air Conditioning Inspector shall have all the powers and perform all the acts, duties and functions which he may lawfully perform under the laws of the State and the Charter and ordinances of the City.
