(a) Residential Rental Dwelling Unit Registration. After the effective date of this Section, it shall be unlawful for the owner or person in charge of any single, duplex or triplex residential rental dwelling unit to rent, lease, or permit any residential rental dwelling unit within said structure to be occupied, without registering same with the Division of Building. Registration shall be made on a form provided by the Division of Building and shall be updated by the owner or person in charge within fifteen days of any change in any information contained therein.
(b) Existing Occupancies. Within thirty days of the effective date of this Section, the owner or person in charge of any single, duplex or triplex residential rental dwelling unit shall submit a Registration to the Division of Building.
(c) Penalty. Any person or entity who violates any provision of this Section shall be guilty of a minor misdemeanor for a first offense and a misdemeanor of the fourth degree for any subsequent violations.
