1462.09 ABATEMENT ORDER.
   Whenever any equipment is found, upon inspection, to be operated in violation of this Air Pollution Code or to be in such condition or so installed that it cannot be operated in conformity with this Air Pollution Code, the Commissioner of Air Pollution Control shall issue a written order to the person owning, operating or in control of such equipment requiring the abatement of such violation or the correction of any condition which may result in such violation within the time limit set forth in such order, such time limit not to exceed ninety days. Should the person to whom such order is issued fail to act thereon within the time limit set forth therein or within an extension granted by the Commissioner not exceeding sixty days, the Commissioner shall revoke any existing certificate of operation or seal such equipment for failure to comply with such order.
