(a) Permit fees for new construction shall be based on the square footage method. This method relies on permit fees established by (square footage X use group fee multiplier). The fee multiplier is determined by the Building Official and type of Use Group Classification as defined in the Ohio Building Code.
(b) Effective January 1, 2018, permit fee unit cost for new construction is determined by the following method which is inclusive for Plumbing, HVAC, and Electrical. The fee multiplier will be reviewed quarterly by the Division of Building, and if deemed necessary, the Chief Building Official or designee, will consult with the Building and Building Code Committee for adjustment recommendations.
