(a) The issuance of a permit shall not authorize the violation of any portion of this chapter or of these Codified Ordinances. The issuance of a permit or the approval of construction documents shall not be construed to be a permit for, or an approval of, any violation of any provision of these Codified Ordinances. A permit presuming to give authority to violate or cancel the provisions of any code adopted by the City shall be invalid.
(b)
The issuance of a permit based upon construction documents and other data shall not prevent the Chief Building Official or designee from thereafter requiring the correction of errors in said construction documents and other data or from preventing building or construction operations from being carried on thereunder when in violation of these Codified Ordinances.
