(a) The issuance of a license as a private investigator shall not of itself constitute authority to carry firearms.
(b) Private investigators may carry weapons only after completing the minimum basic training course as set forth and described in Ohio Administrative Code Section 109:2-3-11 and as governed by Sections 109:2-3-01 through 109:2-3-10 as of the effective date of this section (Ordinance 31-82, passed April 12, 1982). Personnel who are armed may carry weapons only when on duty at the premises guarded or when going directly to or from such premises. A private investigator shall file a report with the Division of Police each time his or her firearm is discharged in the City while away from a training range.
