840.04 RULES, REGULATIONS, FEES AND BOND.

   (a)   The City Manager/Safety Director is hereby authorized to prescribe rules and regulations, in addition to those contained in Sections 840.01 to 840.99 inclusive, for such private investigators, wherever and whenever their services are conducted.

   (b)   Except as provided in subsection (d) hereof, each private investigator shall pay a license fee of ten dollars ($10.00) for the first year and a renewal fee of five dollars ($5.00) for each year thereafter.

   (c)   Each private investigator shall provide the City Manager/Safety Director and the Director of Law with evidence of comprehensive liability coverage for bodily injury of not less than one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) for each person and three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) for each occurrence, and two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) for property damage.

   (d)   Each private investigator and his or her duly registered employees, upon verification of compliance with Ohio R.C. 4749.03 and 4749.06, is not required to pay the license fees required by subsection (b) hereof.
