Notwithstanding the limits set in § 51.020(D) on certain discharges to the town’s sewage works, if more stringent limitations for any discharge are set by an industrial pretreatment permit issued to the prospective discharger by the State Department of Environmental Management, then the discharger shall comply with the more stringent limitations as if they had been imposed in § 51.020(D), and the Superintendent may impose more stringent limitations in any permit issued by the town to the discharger under this chapter.
