The appropriate State Department of Transportation standard specifications currently in effect shall be applicable to this section except as follows.
(A) Where pavement being placed joins an existing pavement, the existing pavement shall first be cut along a smooth line to a neat, even, vertical joint with a tack coat of pavement emulsion to be applied before any pavement is installed. Broken or ragged edges or deviation from grade are not permitted.
(B) Grading for the base course of hot bituminous pavement shall meet INDOT specifications.
(C) Grading for the surface course of hot bituminous pavement shall meet INDOT Specifications.
