(A) The provisions of this chapter shall not apply to sales to dealers by commercial travelers, nor to sales by producers of farm or dairy products, nor to sales by charitable, philanthropic, or civic groups or organizations, such as, without limitation thereto, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Chamber of Commerce, Jay Cees, or the Jacksy United Fund.
(B) The provisions of this chapter shall also not apply to officers or employees of the town, county, state, or federal government, or any subdivision thereof, when on official business.
