(A) A fee of $5 is hereby established for the inspection of a motor vehicle, semitrailer, or recreational vehicle conducted by any law enforcement officer of the town, as required by I.C. 9-17-2-12(c).
(B) The vehicle inspection fee herein authorized shall be collected by the law enforcement officer making the inspection, or by the Clerk-Treasurer. In the event a law enforcement officer collects the fee, he or she shall, as soon as practical, remit the fee to the Clerk-Treasurer.
(C) All vehicle inspection fees shall be deposited in a special fund called the Vehicle Inspection Fund, and shall remain in the Fund until appropriated by the Town Council.
