§ 70.04 NOTICE OF VIOLATION.
   It shall be the duty of the police officers of the town to attach to every vehicle parked in violation of any of the provisions of this Traffic Code a notice that the vehicle has been illegally parked and instructing the operator to report to the office of the Clerk-Treasurer in regard to the violation. It shall also be the duty of a police officer, upon the observance of violation of any of the other provisions of this Traffic Code, to give the driver of the vehicle a notice that he or she has violated the Code, and to instruct the violator to report to the office of the Clerk-Treasurer in regard to the violation. The person may, within two days of the time when the notice was attached to the vehicle or delivered or given to him or her in person, pay as the penalty for and in full satisfaction of the violation, the sum of $25. Payment shall be made to the Clerk-Treasurer or be attached to the notice and mailed to the Clerk-Treasurer. The failure of the operator or owner to make the payment within two days shall render the operator or owner subject to the penalties described in § 70.99 for the violation of the provisions of this Traffic Code.
