(A) The provisions of this chapter shall be supplemental to the Indiana Fire Prevention Code, as adopted by the Indiana Bureau of Fire Prevention and Building Safety.
(B) The provisions of this chapter shall apply to both new and existing structures, and to present and future occupancies of those structures, other than one- and two-family residential structures.
(C) Notwithstanding division (B) of this section, the provisions of this chapter shall apply to one- and two-family residential structures whenever the occupancy of the dwelling is altered.
