§ 92.002 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply, unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   APPROVED. Acceptance by the appropriate Fire Prevention Bureau as to the design, equipment, installation, or intended use as required by this chapter. Acceptance shall only result from investigation and/or tests conducted by the Bureau or by reason of accepted principles or tests by nationally recognized technical or testing authorities.
   ASSEMBLY OCCUPANCY. The use of any building or portion of a building for gatherings of fifty (50) or more persons for purposes which include, but are not limited to deliberation, education, worship, entertainment, dining or transportation.
   BUILDING. Any structure used or intended for supporting or sheltering any use or occupancy.
   CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY. Any activity for which plan review must be performed in accordance with the provisions of this code.
   FIRE APPARATUS. Any vehicle equipped with firefighting or other equipment utilized by a fire department in any emergency.
   FIRE PREVENTION BUREAU. The Fire Prevention Bureau established by this chapter for the Brownsburg Fire Department located within Hendricks County.
   FIRE PREVENTION CHIEF. The administrative head of a Fire Prevention Bureau appointed pursuant to the provisions of this code.
   MULTIPLE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL STRUCTURE. A residential building or structure other than a one- or two-family residential structure.
   OCCUPANCY. The use for which a building or part thereof is designed or occupied.
   ONE- OR TWO-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL STRUCTURE. A one-family dwelling structure, a two-family dwelling structure, or any accessory structure appurtenant to either a one-family or two-family dwelling structure as defined by the provisions of this code.
   PERSON. An individual, firm, partnership, association, corporation, political subdivision or municipal corporation.
   PREMISES. The land upon which a structure is located.
   VEHICULAR EQUIPMENT. Any motor vehicle used to transport supervisory personnel of the Fire Department, other than fire apparatus.
