§ 39.09 PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS.
   (A)   The penalties payable upon compromises, not including any costs specifically required by statute to be added thereto, shall be as follows:
      (1)   For the Class A violations enumerated in this chapter, the violator commits a Class C infraction; and the penalty shall be twenty-five dollars ($25) for each violation; provided, however, if the penalty is not paid within one hundred sixty-eight (168) hours (seven (7) days), the penalty shall be thirty-five dollars ($35).
      (2)   For the Class B violations enumerated in this chapter, the violator commits a Class C infraction; and the penalty shall be fifteen dollars ($15) for each violation; provided, however, if the penalty is not paid within one hundred sixty-eight (168) hours (seven (7) days), the penalty shall be twenty-five dollars ($25).
      (3)   For the Class C offenses enumerated in this chapter, the violator commits a Class C infraction; and the penalty shall be ten dollars ($10) for each violation; provided, however, if the ten-dollar ($10) penalty is not paid within one hundred sixty-eight (168) hours (seven (7) days), the penalty shall be fifteen dollars ($15).
      (4)   Additional costs shall be assessed and paid as may be required by statute or this code.
   (B)   Any person proposing to make a compromise under this section shall present, either in person or by attorney or agent, to the Ordinance Violations Bureau, upon demand therefor, the person's license or permit issued to him by the state to operate a vehicle upon the public highways, if applicable. Any duly appointed officer or employee of the Ordinance Violations Bureau is authorized and empowered to accept on behalf of the Town any offer of compromise of any violator, when the required amount of the penalty is properly tendered pursuant to this chapter. Acceptance on behalf of the Town shall be effected by issuing to or for the violator a receipt of the Ordinance Violations Bureau, signed by the person acting therefor, acknowledging the payment of the proper sum, which payment and receipt shall constitute a complete satisfaction for the violation.
