(A) The detective in charge of the investigation shall execute a receipt for any monies he obtains from the Law Enforcement Fund using a receipt form to be prescribed by the Clerk-Treasurer. The detective in charge of the investigation shall deliver the original receipt to the Chief of Police and retain a copy of the same for his records.

(B) The detective in charge of the investigation shall issue a receipt to the person or entity who returned the funds. The original receipt shall be delivered to the person or entity who returned the funds; a copy shall be retained by the detective in charge of the investigation and copies furnished to the Clerk-Treasurer and the Chief of Police.
