(A) The Board of Fire Commissioners shall consist of seven (7) members; three (3) members to be appointed by the Town Council; two (2) members by the Brown Township Trustee; and two (2) members by the Lincoln Township Trustee. Appointments made by the Township Trustees shall have approval of their Township Advisory Board.
(B) Each township representative shall serve only during the current terms of the appointing township trustee. Of the remaining three (3) Fire Commissioners to be appointed, one (1) of that number shall be appointed by the Town Council for a term of three (3) years, one (1) shall be appointed by the Town Council for a term of two (2) years, and one (1) shall be appointed by the Town Council for a term of one (1) year, respectively. No appointee of the Board of Fire Commissioners may be an active member of the Brownsburg Fire Territory Department.
