Nothing contained in this subchapter shall give or confer, or be construed to give or confer, to or upon the Department of Parks and Recreation, the custody, control, or management of any playground or recreational facility which is owned or controlled by the Board of Trustees of the School Corporation; provided, however, that nothing contained in this section shall reduce, limit, or curtail the power or authority of the Town Park and Recreation Board to make or enter into contracts or cooperative arrangements with the Board of Trustees of the School Corporation for the use of playgrounds or recreational facilities owned or controlled by the Board.
