(a) An annual license tax for the operation of motor vehicles on the public highways and roads in the City of Brookville, Ohio is hereby imposed in accordance with Ohio Revised Code Section 4504.173. This tax shall be at the rate of five dollars ($5.00) per motor vehicle on all motor vehicles the district of registration of which, as defined in Ohio Revised Code Section 4503.10, is located in the City of Brookville. As used herein, the term “Motor Vehicle” means any and all vehicles included in the definition of “Motor Vehicle” as set forth in Ohio Revised Code Sections 4501.01 and 4505.01.
(b) All funds obtained from this levied tax may be used by the City of Brookville for any and all “authorized purposes”
(c) The annual tax imposed by this section shall apply to and be in effect for the registration year commencing January 1, 2021 and shall continue in effect and application each registration year thereafter.
(d) The annual tax imposed by this section shall be paid to the Registrar/Deputy Registrar of Motor Vehicles at the time application for registration of a motor vehicle is made in accordance with Ohio Revised Code Section 4503.10.
