957.01 DEFINITIONS.
   For purposes of this chapter certain words and phrases shall have the following meanings ascribed to them respectively.
   (a)    "Business place" means each building, portion of a building, yard, or parcel of land used by one person, firm, corporation, or association for carrying on business or professional practice, including churches, public and private schools, lodges, and clubrooms.
   (b)    "Dwelling unit" means a house, building, apartment, room, or suite of rooms so constructed or equipped as to provide residence quarters for one family, or used as a residence by one or more persons, but excluding rooms in hotels, rooming houses, or private homes wherein facilities for preparation of meals or cooking of food are not present.
   (c)    ''Garbage" means table scrap, animal, vegetable, or cereal offal ordinarily produced or accumulated in and about a residence or business place, exclusive of waste matter or scrap accumulated or produced in the course of manufacturing, industrial process or commercial canning, food packing, or preparation.
   (d)    "Multiple unit” means any building or structure containing more than one dwelling unit, more than one business place, or one or more dwelling units and one or more business places.
   (e)    "Trash" means rubbish and refuse of every kind and description other than garbage which ordinarily is produced or accumulated in and about a residence or business place, exclusive of waste matter or scrap, accumulated or produced in carrying on of manufacturing or industrial processes, and also exclusive of debris resulting from or accumulated in the construction, alteration, major repair, or razing of any building or structure, and also exclusive of limbs, branches, or trunks resulting from major trimming or cutting down of trees.    (f)    "Recyclables" means any item of trash or garbage that is deemed by the Municipal Manager to be recyclable. (Ord. 1995-12. Passed 10-17-95.)
