(a) It shall be unlawful and a nuisance for any person, firm, or corporation, except as otherwise provided, to keep, maintain, or construct any dog kennel, chicken house, pig sty, or horse stable within this Municipality. However, this prohibition shall not apply to dog houses for a dog or dogs kept or otherwise maintained by any person as a pet.

(b) Whoever violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the third degree.
