No person shall ride a skateboard, rollerblade or in-line skate on any sidewalk, street, alley or other public ground in the Community Center District and adjacent areas in the City of Brookville. For purposes of this section the Community Center District shall be that area currently zoned as “Community Center District” pursuant to the Brookville Zoning Code, except that area known as the municipal bikeway. The Community Center District and areas adjacent to the Community Center District where skateboarding, rollerblading and in-line skating on any sidewalk, street, alley or other public ground shall be prohibited are the following specified areas: Market Street from Wolf Creek Street to Jefferson Street; Hay Street from Wolf Creek Street to Jefferson Street; Main Street from Wolf Creek Street to Jefferson Street; Walnut Street, Mulberry Street, and Sycamore Street from Hay Avenue to Main Street, and all alleys, sidewalks, or other public grounds within this area. The map of the area where skateboarding, rollerblading and in- line skating is prohibited is attached to original Ordinance 2004-02 as Exhibit A. Skateboarding, rollerblading and in-line skating shall be permitted on the municipal bikeway within these areas. Whoever violates this section shall be subject to the penalty specified in Section 377.99.
