193.01 PURPOSE.

To provide funds for the purposes of general municipal operations, maintenance, new equipment, and extension and enlargement of municipal services and facilities of this Municipality there shall be levied a tax on salaries, wages, commissions, other compensations, and net profits as provided in this chapter.
