(a) The Department of Public Service is hereby established in the City of Brookville.
(b) The Department of Public Service shall be managed and operated by a Director of Public Service who shall be selected by Council.
(c) The duties of the Director of Public Service shall include management of the water distribution system, solid waste collection, including yard waste and recycling, street and sign maintenance, storm water and sanitary sewer infrastructure, fleet procurement and maintenance of City equipment, buildings and grounds. The Director shall supervise the employees of the department, and shall be responsible for the fiscal management of the department.
(d) The Director of Public Service shall report to and act under the direction of the City Manager, and all department rules and regulations shall be approved by the City Manager prior to implementation by the Director of Public Service.
