There is currently established an Auxiliary Police Unit within the City Police Department. The Director of Police shall be its executive head, and he shall be entitled to appoint as many auxiliary police officers as he deems necessary, provided they comply with the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of the Department. All such appointments shall be approved by the Municipal Manager. (Ord. 1987-09. Passed 10-20-87.)
