(a) There is created the position of Assistant Municipal Manager. The salary of the Assistant Municipal Manager shall be set by Council.
(b) The Assistant Municipal Manager shall have the same powers, duties, and functions as the Municipal Manager; shall report to the Municipal Manager; and shall exercise the authority of the Municipal Manager only when expressly requested to do so by him.
(c) The appointment of the Assistant Municipal Manager shall be by Council by a motion adopted by a majority vote of its members. The Assistant Municipal Manager shall serve at the pleasure of Council, and may be removed by Council, without cause, by a motion adopted by a majority vote of the members.
