103.01 ADOPTION; SPECIFICATIONS.
   (a)    Adoption. The following seal, described in subsection (b) hereof, is adopted as the Official Municipal Seal.
   (b)    Specifications.
      (1)    The outer rim of the seal shall state as follows: The Municipality of Brookville, Ohio - Incorporated 1874 A.D.
      (2)    The inner design shall consist of an outline of the official boundaries of the State of Ohio.
      (3)    The interior of the state outline shall contain the following:
         A.   A pictorial likeness of the historical monument, the Spitler House, with a date and statement of settlement underneath to read: Settled 1850 A.D.
         B.   A pictorial design representing the agricultural and industrial factions of the community both past and present, as follows: A sheave of wheat superimposed on an industrial gear.
         C.   A pictorial design representing both educational and religious foundations of the community as follows: The lamp of knowledge superimposed on a cross.
         D.   A map-like representation of the approximate location of Brookville within the State of Ohio and the main roads of travel which caused Brookville to be located where it is, as follows: Wolfcreek, the railroad, Route 40, Route 70, Route 75, Route 49, plus the original road going from Eaton, Ohio to Piqua, Ohio which was the earliest path to lay the foundation for the community.
      (4)    At the top of the inner seal and immediately above the State of Ohio outline shall be a representative design of stylized waves representing the Wolfcreek which predated man himself, and centralized around a wreath of laurel indicating the growth and continued prosperity and good will of the community. Inside the laurel wreath shall be located the letter "B" standing for Brookville, written in the original German lettering style, indicating the strong German heritage of the community.
      (5)    Colors of the seal shall be black lettering on a gold background to show attachment to the county seat, Dayton, which has the same colors. Interior colors shall be primarily red, white, and blue to show allegiance both to the State government and the national government.
