(A) Background investigation. The City Manager must verify the information supplied in the license application and investigate the background, including the criminal background, of the applicant to assure compliance with this chapter, by referring the application to the Police Chief for a CCH Investigation.
(B) Massage therapist and therapeutic massage enterprise licenses will be issued by the City Manager upon completion of the investigation and review of the application. In the event that the license is denied, notice will be sent to the applicant informing the applicant of the decision and his or her right to appeal the decision to the hearing officer pursuant to § 124.14 of this chapter.
