The executive power of the Village shall be vested in the Mayor. The Mayor shall be the chief executive officer of the Municipality. The Mayor shall appoint all Village employees provided for by or under this Charter, except for appointive administrative officers, departments headed by elected officials and as otherwise provided by law, this Charter or personnel rules adopted pursuant to this Charter. The Mayor shall appoint administrative officers with the approval of the Council. The Mayor shall have the sole power to remove and suspend Village employees, including administrative officers, subject to Section 5.06 below. The Mayor shall supervise the administration of the affairs of the Village, and supervise all the departments and divisions thereof, except as otherwise provided by this Charter and for those offices headed by an elected official. The Mayor shall be chief conservator of the peace within the Village and shall see that all laws and ordinances are enforced.
