262.01 SERVICE DIRECTOR.

   (a)   There is hereby established in and for the Village the position of Service Director.

   (b)   The duties of the Service Director are as follows:

      (1)   To supervise all Service Department functions, whether specific or implied;

      (2)   To supervise the maintenance of all park areas, whether specific or implied;

      (3)   To supervise the maintenance of all buildings, excluding major repairs, whether specific or implied;

      (4)   To supervise the maintenance of Village streets, cleaning of catch basins, cutting of grass on Village property, or as otherwise directed, and snow removal from public roadways and Village-owned property;

      (5)   To supervise general groundskeeping in the Village parks and recreational areas;

      (6)   To supervise the maintenance of park equipment;

      (7)   To supervise the maintenance of park property;

      (8)   To supervise the maintenance of Village buildings; and

      (9)   To supervise any direct labor necessary to perform any of the above-mentioned duties.

   (c)   The Service Director shall report to the Mayor and be under his or her direct supervision and shall perform those tasks as may be assigned by the Mayor.

   (d)   The Service Director shall be appointed by the Mayor, with the advice and consent of Council, and shall serve continuously until removed by the Mayor, with the advice and consent of Council.
