1440.04 BUILDING OFFICIAL.

(a) There is hereby established in and for the Village the position of Building Official. The Building Official shall be appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by Council.

(b) The Building Official shall have responsibility for the enforcement of the Ohio Building Code, shall hold a certification as a Building Official or a Class I Certificate of Competency and shall be responsible for the overall administration of the Building Department.
