The height regulations for buildings in all districts shall not apply to chimneys, flagpoles, towers, water tanks, spires, domes, antennae and other similar mechanical appurtenances located upon or constructed as an integral part of a building, but the same shall not exceed seventy-five feet in any district at the front building line, measured from the finished grade line. This section shall not apply to residential dwellings where a lower height than seventy-five feet is required.
