An applicant, before commencing any work, shall execute and deliver to the Village a surety bond in the sum of five thousand dollars ($5,000), payable to the Village of Brooklyn Heights, Ohio, to be approved by the Village Law Director, conditioned that he or she will indemnify the Village against any loss or damage occasioned by any accident, neglect, or unskillfulness on the part of himself or herself or any of his or her employees or subcontractors in the performance of any work or in the selection or use of any improper material, and further conditioned that he or she will comply with all the rules and regulations
of the Village in connection with such work. All such licenses to sewer builders shall expire on the fifteenth day of September following issuance, unless sooner revoked by direction of the Village Council as provided in Section 1042.04.
