§ 90.16  RELEASE OF ANIMALS.
   (A)   No animal shall be released from the County Dog Warden, the County Animal Control Officer, or a licensed kennel under the provisions of § 90.15, unless the owner or his or her authorized agent shall pay to the City Police Department a fee set forth in the following schedule and any fee imposed by the county or any licensed veterinarian:
      (1)   For the release of a licensed animal properly immunized against rabies, or for the release of an animal not required to be licensed but properly immunized against rabies, the sum of $20 shall be paid together with; and
      (2)   Payment of the cost of boarding the animal at a minimum charge of $3 per day.
   (B)   No animal shall be released from the impounding unless it is properly immunized and licensed, if required. The owner in addition to the fees set forth in this section shall pay the cost of the immunization and licensing. The $20 fee so charged shall go to the General Fund of the city, and board charges shall be remitted to the person providing authorized confinement of the animal.
