Skateboarders have been noted to jump from elevation to elevation on city and state sidewalks; have been using commercial and city parking lots to practice tricks, causing concern to the pedestrian public and property owners alike. In an effort to promote safe use of the pedestrian walkways in the downtown area; and to alleviate fear of liability claims, skateboards will be banned in the area.
