(A) Code amendment and revisions adopted.
(1) The Michigan Vehicle Code, 1949 PA 300, M.C.L.A. §§ 257.1 to 257.923, and all future amendments and revisions to the Michigan Vehicle Code when they are effective in this state are incorporated and adopted by reference.
(2) Section 625(1)(c) of the Michigan Vehicle Code, 1949 PA 300, M.C.L.A. § 257.625 and all future amendments and revisions to M.C.L.A § 257.625(1)(c) when they are effective in this state are incorporated and adopted by reference.
(B) References in code.
(1) References in the Michigan Vehicle Code to local authorities shall mean the CITY OF BRONSON.
(2) References in the Michigan Vehicle Code, M.C.L.A § 257.625(1)(c) to local authorities shall mean the CITY OF BRONSON.
(C) Notice to be published. The City Clerk/Treasurer shall publish this section in the manner required by law and shall publish, at the same time, a notice stating the purpose of the Michigan Vehicle Code and the fact that a complete copy of the code is available to the public at the office of the Clerk for inspection.
(D) Penalties.
(1) The penalties provided by the Michigan Vehicle Code are adopted by reference, provided, however, that the city may not enforce any provision of the Michigan Vehicle Code for which the maximum period of imprisonment is greater than 93 days.
(2) The penalties for violation of M.C.L.A. § 257.625(1)(c) shall be one or more of the following:
(a) Community service for not more than 260 hours.
(b) Imprisonment for not more than 180 days.
(c) A fine of not less than $200 or more than $700.
