§ 32.02  APPOINTMENT; OATH AND BOND.
   All police officers shall be appointed by the City Manager, by and with the consent of the City Council, and each of them shall, before entering upon the discharge of the duties of his or her office, take and subscribe the oath of office prescribed by the constitution of this state, and shall also, (except in case of special police officers appointed for temporary duty), give a bond to the city in sum as the City Council shall by resolution direct, with good and sufficient surety or sureties, to be approved by the City Council, conditioned for the good and faithful performance of the duties of his or her office, and shall file the oath and bond with the Clerk/Treasurer.
